Vietnam visa application at a Vietnamese embassy or consulate

Applying for a Vietnam visa through a Vietnamese diplomatic mission abroad (Embassy/Consulate) is the traditional method. Fees vary depending on the visa type and number of entries.To obtain this visa, applicants must:

• Complete the visa application form.

• Provide personal documents.

• Prepare and attach a passport-sized photo.

• Sign the application.

• Submit in person at a Vietnamese embassy or consulate

*Processing time: Typically 3 to 5 days, provided all documents are complete.

Visa on arrival

Visa on arrival allows travelers to obtain a visa upon arrival at Vietnam's international airports, applicable only for air travel.

*Application process:

Step 1: Contact a reliable visa service or travel agency in Vietnam to request the approval letter from the Vietnam Immigration Department

Step 2: Prepare required documents, including:

• Valid passport (≥ 6 months, with blank pages)

• Printed visa approval letter.

• Completed visa application form (fill it out in advance or at the airport)

• Two passport photos (4x6 cm).

• Visa stamping fee (paid in cash at the airport)

Step 3: Submit documents, pay the fee, receive your visa and enter Vietnam.
